Among the icy expanses and majestic mountains of Antarctica, there is a peak that strikes with its perfect pyramid shape. Its four equal faces have given rise to numerous conspiracy theories and aroused considerable interest.

However, scientists assure that this "pyramid", which is 1265 meters high, was formed as a result of natural processes. This is reported by livescience.

The researchers note that the pyramidal shape of the peak arose due to years of erosion that lasted for millions of years. The main role in this process was played by erosion through freezing and melting: water penetrated the cracks in the rocks, froze, expanded, and gradually destroyed the mountain structure.

Scientists are skeptical of suggestions that the Antarctic "pyramid" is artificial. "It's just a regular mountain that looks like a pyramid," explains Eric Rignot, a professor of earth science. "Pyramid shapes are not impossible, but they rarely have four of these faces."

Despite its amazing appearance, this "pyramid" is a natural formation, not the result of ancient civilizations or aliens. It is yet another proof of how nature is able to create unique structures that amaze people.
