How to protect your skin from the sun without SPF: 5 alternative ways

Summer is on its way, which means it's time to take care of your skin's sun protection. Even short-term sun exposure can be harmful, so it's important to take steps to protect yourself.
Experts from UK HealthCare have given advice on simple ways to protect your skin from the sun. It is important to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. Apply it liberally to all exposed skin 15 minutes before going out in the sun. Reapply sunscreen every two hours, as well as after swimming or sweating.

The sun shines most intensely from 10:00 to 16:00. If possible, plan outdoor activities in the morning or evening.
2. Find shade:
Look for shade under trees, umbrellas, or other shelter.
3. Wear protection:
Wear long-sleeved shirts, pants and skirts made of thick fabrics. Choose wide-brimmed hats and sunglasses that block UVA and UVB rays. On the beach, wear swimwear made of special fabrics that do not transmit UVA and UVB rays.
4. Protect your lips:
Use lip balm with an SPF of at least 15.
5. Switch to a healthy diet:
Experts note that a diet rich in antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids can protect epidermal cells from sun damage. They advise eating fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C in the heat,
Citrus fruits, red peppers, broccoli, tomatoes, and other fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C, foods with vitamin E. You should also eat foods rich in carotene, niacin, folic acid, and Omega-3.
