Roses will produce large, lush flowers if properly fed: gardeners' tips

Roses can decorate the garden with lush flowers if you feed them properly. You don't have to buy chemical fertilizers to do this.
Instead, experts advise making homemade fertilizer from banana peels. It will contain enough nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium to improve the flowering of roses, according to Express.co.uk.
Roses will benefit greatly from an increase in potassium, as the nutrient helps plants move water, which is incredibly important in high temperatures. One easy way to use banana peels is to simply bury them around the base of the roses.

However, it is better not to use this method if neighborhood cats live near the garden. Instead, it is best to turn bananas into fertilizer.
You need to put one banana peel in a jar and fill it with water. Close the jar tightly and leave it for about a week before filling the roses with water.
Feed your roses with banana peel fertilizer every two to four weeks during the summer to help produce healthier, more vibrant blooms throughout the season.
