Orchids mostly produce flowers in cool weather. However, experts advise one method that will allow you to get flowers throughout the year.

To do this, you need to feed the flowers with seaweed fertilizer in the summer. Orchids grow actively in the summer, and seaweed fertilizer can provide them with the necessary nutrients, according to Express.co.uk.

A weak liquid solution of seaweed instead of regular watering every couple of weeks during the summer is a good idea. Higher temperatures and more light in the summer can cause stress on orchids, so it is important to have the right food, but during hot temperatures, orchids also need to be watered properly.

They should be moist, but not wet. It is better to water orchids abundantly when their soil is slightly dry than to water them on a regular schedule. However, in hot weather, be sure to sprinkle the flowerpots with water.

It is best to place orchids near, but not directly next to, an east or west-facing window. This way, the intense midday sun will not harm the plant.
