Can lead to technical problems: why you should not run the washing machine several times in a row
It is important to know how to operate the machine correctly

Many people, having bought a new washing machine, neglect to read the instruction manual. It seems that what can be difficult is to press a few buttons and start the washing? However, a frivolous attitude to such equipment can lead to serious problems. TSN writes about this.

The efficiency and reliability of a washing machine depend on many factors, but the most important of them is proper operation.

Of course, even the most expensive equipment is not insured against breakdowns, but due to negligence or improper care, the service life of the machine is significantly reduced.

Common mistakes that harm a washing machine:

  • Constant overload: You should not wash more clothes than the manufacturer recommends. This leads to excessive stress on the machine parts and their premature wear.
  • Small items in the pockets of your clothes: Coins, buttons, pins, and other small items that fall into the drum can damage not only the clothes but also the internal parts of the machine.
  • Hard water: Scale build-up caused by hard water can clog important parts of the washing machine and impair its performance.
  • Using the washing machine as a stand: Sitting or stacking items on top of the washer can damage the cabinet and interfere with the electronics.
  • Frequent washing without interruption: Starting a second wash cycle immediately after the first one is finished can cause the machine to overheat and break down important parts.

How to extend the life of your washing machine:

  • Follow the operating instructions: Use the washing machine as recommended by the manufacturer. Do not overload it, do not wash items that are not suitable for machine washing, and use the correct programs and modes.
  • Clean the washing machine regularly: Perform preventive cleaning of the machine to remove limescale, mold, and other dirt. This will help keep your machine clean and extend its life.
  • Do not use hard water: If you have hard water, it is recommended that you use softeners or install a hard water filter.
  • Leave the drum door open: After washing, it is recommended to leave the drum door open to prevent mold and odor formation.
  • Allow the machine to "rest": Do not run the wash without interruption. Allow at least 2 hours between wash cycles.

By following these simple rules, you can significantly extend the life of your washing machine and save on repairs.
