Cleaning a blanket can be tricky because most of them are too big to fit in a washing machine. However, there is an easy way to help.

Lynsey Crombie, the TV queen of cleanliness, shared that her simple method for cleaning a blanket is to simply hang it outside. This was reported by Express.co.uk.

Taking a blanket outside can revitalize it in a number of ways. The warmth of the sunlight can help restore the elasticity and fluffiness of the blanket.

Hanging the blanket outside can also help remove any musty odors, and the sun can kill some bacteria. It will also help to whiten it if it looks discolored.

Sunlight can act as a natural bleach thanks to its ultraviolet rays, which can break down stains and naturally lighten white fabric.

It is enough to hang the blanket outside on a sunny day for a couple of hours and then spray it with fabric freshener.

Orchids are one of the most popular house plants. However, keeping them blooming can be quite a challenge.

Fertilizing orchids can make a big difference. Many people use water settled with banana peels for fertilization, but experts advise trying a different method, according to Express.co.uk.

In particular, garlic water works better than banana water. Garlic fertilizes the soil because it is rich in phosphorus, a nutrient that helps plants grow abundantly, and potassium, which will keep the plant's leaves and flowers in top shape.

To prepare the garlic water solution, simply peel a few cloves of garlic, then chop and add to a container filled with water. Let the mixture stand for at least a day before use or two to three days for even better results in a cool, dark place.

Do not use it every day. It is best to limit spraying to once or twice a week. Too much garlic can lead to inhibited plant growth.

There is a common belief that using a large amount of laundry detergent in the washing machine helps to wash clothes better. However, do not forget that excessive addition of powder can lead to white marks and stains on the fabric after washing.

This is what the UAportal team talks about.

It is important to know the right amount of detergent to achieve perfect cleanliness without harm to health. If you use too much powder, it can lead to a pungent odor on the fabric and create risks for people with allergies. It can also cause an unpleasant odor inside the washing machine.

Before you start washing, make sure you know the recommended powder dosages on the package and the drum capacity of your machine. While this is important, the weight and level of soiling of your laundry is key.

For lightly soiled laundry, 1 tablespoon of detergent per 1 kg of laundry is sufficient. In the case of heavily soiled clothes, you need to double the amount to 2 tablespoons per 1 kg. This rule applies regardless of the size of the machine drum and depends only on the weight and degree of contamination of the laundry you are washing.
