What a healthy breakfast should be like
Choose your own version of a healthy and wholesome breakfast.
1. Fiber-rich foods are good for the morning meal. For example, cereals. They should be made from whole or flattened grains that need to be cooked, not just poured with hot water or milk. Such cereals contain more vitamins, minerals, and fiber, and satiate better and longer. You can add eggs or cottage cheese, vegetables, fruits, nuts, avocados...⠀Come up with your own delicious combination that will bring not only benefits but also pleasure. You can make porridge in the morning, or if you don't have time, the day before. In the evening, mix, for example, flattened oatmeal with natural yogurt (Greek yogurt is also suitable) and place in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning, just add a handful of fruit and a few nuts to it - breakfast is ready!
But remember that porridge, in which you put half the contents of a sugar bowl or half a jar of honey, in addition to a significant dose of fiber, will also give you a lot of empty calories.
2. Many people are well satiated with protein for breakfast. By "protein" I mean, first of all, eggs cooked in different ways: scrambled eggs, omelets, soft-boiled eggs or poached eggs. And always with yolks, which have a choleretic effect, which is important for the normal functioning of the biliary system. In addition, the yolks contain choline, which improves the functioning of the liver, nervous and circulatory systems. You should add vegetables and a piece of whole grain bread or some porridge to your egg dish. You can make whole wheat bread toast with slices of avocado. Avocados are the leader in the content of healthy vegetable fats among fruits and vegetables. This breakfast option is much more satisfying and better than sweet yeast pastries.
3. In addition to egg whites, cottage cheese, hard cheeses, vegetable protein from legumes, and a piece of red fish are great for breakfast. Such protein foods stimulate more production of the YY peptide, which will make you feel fuller for longer.
