Scientists find a mysterious mummy 2,600 years old in Australia

A unique scientific discovery has been made in the Perth Museum, Australia, where modern digital technologies have helped to identify an unknown mummy, whose age is 2,600 years.

In 1936, the museum received an Egyptian sarcophagus, which was initially believed to belong to a woman from Ancient Egypt. However, an in-depth analysis of the bone structure revealed unexpected information: the princess came from the Kingdom of Kush, which once conquered Upper Egypt and founded a dynasty of black pharaohs. This was reported by The Guardian.

The hieroglyphs on the sarcophagus contain the name of the buried person - "Ta-Kr-Hb" (or "Takerheb"). According to the preliminary findings of scientists, she was a black priestess or princess who died at the age of 30. An interesting medical observation was the discovery of significant damage to her teeth due to caries. The estimated period of her life is 760-525 BC.

Archaeological research demonstrates that each find can dramatically change our understanding of ancient civilizations, revealing unexpected facts about cultural interconnections and migration processes.

Earlier, another discovery gained a similar resonance - an ancient sword engraved with the name of Pharaoh Ramses II, discovered in the Nile Delta. This ruler is often associated with the biblical Book of Exodus, which tells of the liberation of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery under the leadership of Moses.

As a reminder, archaeologists have found a square dating back to the era of Ancient Rome in Spain.
