It is better not to get a tattoo in the summer: experts name the risks

Experts in applying drawings and patterns to the skin warn those who want to get a tattoo that summer is not the best time to realize their plans.
Among the warnings is that after the tattoo is applied, the skin should be hidden from the sun and not wet for a certain period. Even if the tattoo is protected by a special film, it won't save the skin from damage or infection, because when you sweat in the heat, this protective film won't fit tightly to your body.
If you do decide to get a tattoo in the summer, experts advise you to heed the following tips:
1. Prepare your skin before your visit
If you have already sunbathed, then before getting a tattoo, cover the area where the tattoo will be applied and wait until your skin returns to its natural tone to avoid peeling.
2. Stay away from the sun
Sunburn is the number one enemy of tattoos. Wear clothing with UV protection in the area of the future tattoo for at least three weeks. Also, apply sunscreen to the area where the tattoo will be.
3. Do not swim in open water
Experts do not recommend swimming in natural bodies of water before applying a tattoo, as the skin can become infected. Moreover, please note that you should not swim in ponds, rivers, or the sea for three weeks after getting a tattoo.
4. Postpone traveling
If you are getting a tattoo on a part of your body that will be uncomfortable when you are sitting for a long time, it is better not to take any risks. After all, the skin will be damaged after the tattoo is applied, and excessive stress on the damaged area of the body will not contribute to rapid healing.
It is better to get a new tattoo after traveling.
