Useful if you are arachnophobic: how to protect your home from spiders
Spiders are quite useful creatures

With the onset of spring, many of us notice small spiders in our homes. These arthropods, although they scare some people, play an important role in the ecosystem by controlling the insect population. This was reported by Express.

Why do spiders appear at home?

In the fall, many house spiders seek shelter in a warm house where insects are available for food. Therefore, the spiders we see in the spring could actually have spent the winter in our home.

How to get rid of spiders without harm?

There are many ways to get rid of spiders in the house without harming them. Here are a few of them:

Peppermint oil:

Peppermint oil has a strong odor that repels spiders. Mix 20 drops of peppermint oil with water in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture into cracks, corners, and other places where you see spiders. You can also spray the mixture on the blanket to keep spiders from climbing onto the bed.

Candles with citronella:

Lighting citronella candles can repel spiders. Spiders do not like the smells of lemon, cinnamon, and citronella. They also don't like the smell of smoke, so you can use incense sticks.

Other methods:

Clean the house regularly: This will help reduce the number of insects that are food for spiders. Seal cracks and holes: This will make it harder for spiders to get into your home. Use spider traps: There are many types of spider traps that do not harm them.

Important:

Do not use spider sprays and chemicals, as they can be harmful to people and pets. If you have pets, be careful with peppermint oil, as it can be toxic to them.

Spiders are not pests, but a useful part of the ecosystem. They can be removed from your home without harm using simple and safe methods.
