Broke your favorite powder or eyeshadow? Don't be too upset! Thanks to simple life hacks, you can easily restore them and continue using them. Glavred writes about it.

Alcohol: a universal assistant

Alcohol is perhaps the most common tool for restoring broken cosmetics. It not only disinfects, but also helps to preserve the texture and promotes quick drying.

How to restore eyeshadow with alcohol:

1. Pour the broken eyeshadow into a separate container and mash it into fine crumbs.
2. Add a few drops of alcohol and mix thoroughly to get a mushy mass.
3. Firmly press the mixture into the refill.
4. Press a napkin to the refill to remove excess alcohol.
5. Leave the eyeshadow to dry for several hours.

Makeup fixative: an alternative to alcohol

If you don't have alcohol on hand, you can replace it with a makeup fixative. The actions remain the same as with alcohol.

Important: alcohol is not suitable for restoring glitter eyeshadows. You can try to restore them without additional means:

1. Grind the eyeshadow into a fine powder using a blender.
2. Gently press the powder into the refill, making an effort.
3. When the eyeshadow stops falling off, you can use it.

Perfume for highlighter

You can use your favorite perfume instead of alcohol to refine your highlighter. This method is not recommended for eyeshadow, as the scent can irritate the eyes.

How to repair a highlighter with perfume:

1. Mash the broken highlighter into fine crumbs.
2. Add a few drops of perfume and mix until smooth.
3. Firmly press the mixture into the refill.
4. Leave the highlighter to dry for several hours.

Remember:

• Use clean and dry containers and tools for restoration.
• Observe the proportions so as not to spoil the texture of the cosmetics.
• If the eyeshadow or powder is badly broken, it can be difficult to restore it completely.
