No hurry to grow up: scientists surprised by the age at which men become psychologically mature

American scientists, based on a survey conducted by Nickelodeon UK, concluded that men reach psychological maturity only after the age of 40.

In particular, it was found that men become fully mature at the age of 43, while women reach this stage by the age of 32. This fact may explain the high incidence of family conflicts and the high divorce rate. This was reported by TSN.

Scientists determined "adulthood" by criteria such as social skills, the absence of negative habits, indecent jokes, and the ability to cook at least the simplest dishes.

Studies show that women reach maturity faster because they often take on the responsibility of raising children. On the other hand, men stay in the youth phase longer, which can be seen in their fascination with video games, the latest car models, and other similar hobbies.

Surveys confirm that men are often aware of their immaturity: approximately 20% of them describe themselves as "big boys." Meanwhile, about 30% of women say they have broken up with immature partners, and 80% believe that men do not lose their childish traits throughout their lives.
