Makeup can be a great tool to correct these changes, helping to preserve youthfulness

As we age, our skin loses its elasticity, and wrinkles and other signs of aging appear. Makeup can be a great tool for correcting these changes, helping to preserve youthfulness. However, not everyone knows how to apply cosmetics correctly to emphasize their beauty and not add to their age.

Makeup artist Mia Hawkswell, who has worked with stars such as Pamela Anderson and Rose Byrne, shared her secret of anti-aging makeup using blush.

The most common mistake is applying blush to the apples of the cheeks. This visually lowers the facial features, making it look tired.

How to apply blush correctly:

  • Placement: Apply blush just above the apples of the cheeks, on the top of the cheekbones.
  • Blending: Blend the blush upwards and slightly outwards, towards the temples.
  • Contouring: Instead of a clear line from the ear to the center of the cheek, make a light shadow a little higher.

This simple technique will help to visually tighten the oval of the face, making it look fresher and more radiant.

Here are some more tips from Mia Hawkswell:

  • Choose blush in natural shades that match your skin tone.
  • Apply blush in light layers to avoid overdoing it.
  • Use a fluffy brush to blend the blush.
  • Don't forget the highlighter, which will emphasize your cheekbones and make your face more radiant.
