It is a proven fact that intermittent fasting is safe and effective! But, in fact, it is not much more effective than any other diet. In addition, many people find it difficult to fast.

But what is the essence of intermittent fasting?

Glucose can only enter our cells with insulin, a hormone produced in the pancreas. Between meals, as long as we don't snack, insulin levels decrease, and our fat cells can release glucose from the fat depot and use it as energy. We lose weight if we allow our body to lower insulin levels. The whole idea of intermittent fasting is to allow insulin to come down for a period of time so that we can burn fat.

The classic scheme of intermittent fasting is 16/8:

▫️8:00 – breakfast

▫️10:30-11:00 – second breakfast

▫️13:00 – lunch

▫️16:00 – afternoon snack

After 16:00, we can drink water and herbal tea.

What we eat during these 8 hours is equally important! Remember that from 8:00 to 16:00 you should have healthy food on your plates.

People with diabetes, gastrointestinal diseases, or mental eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia), pregnant and lactating women should not practice fasting. This is possible only with the permission of a doctor.
