This is the most unfortunate age difference between men and women: check your couple

When love comes along, we often overlook the age difference. Many people believe that if partners are on the same page, age doesn't matter. However, research shows that age difference can be a significant factor in a relationship.
According to a study published in the Journal of Popular Economics, couples where one of the partners is significantly younger may initially experience more happiness. However, over time, this happiness can fade, especially when the age gap is large.
A difference of 10 years is considered an acceptable limit, but a study by Emory University found that such a difference increases the risk of divorce by 39%. If the age difference reaches 20 years, the risk of divorce increases by 95%. This is because as the age gap increases, differences in habits and preferences become more noticeable, which can lead to conflicts.
Nevertheless, there is a theory that states that the optimal age difference is "half your age plus seven". However, most practicing family psychologists disagree with this theory, pointing to the individual characteristics of each couple.
Thus, although a large age difference can be a risk to a relationship, it is important to remember that much depends on the character and actions of the partners.
