How to drive wasps away from the house: an effective life hack
Wasps can be easily driven away from the house

Wasps and hornets are unpleasant guests that can appear in any home, especially in spring and summer when people open windows. These insects are not only frightening but can also be dangerous, as their bites are painful and even fatal for people with allergies.

Chemical insecticides sold in stores are really effective, but many people are reluctant to use them in their homes because of the damage they can cause to health and the environment. Fortunately, there are effective eco-friendly methods of dealing with wasps that can be prepared at home from simple ingredients. The Mirror writes about it.

An effective spray against wasps:

Ingredients:

  • 25 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
  • 25 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • A few teaspoons of liquid dish soap

Instructions:

  1. Take an empty spray bottle.
  2. Add eucalyptus and peppermint essential oils to the bottle.
  3. Slowly add hot water, filling about a third of the bottle.
  4. Shake the bottle well to mix the ingredients.
  5. Your spray is ready to use!

How to use:

  • Spray the spray on the areas where you see wasps.
  • The spray works quickly and kills wasps within seconds.
  • The more concentrated the solution, the faster the wasps die, but it is also more aggressive to plants and surfaces, so don't overdo it.
  • Be careful when using the spray around animals, as essential oils can be toxic to them.

Remember:

  • This spray is an eco-friendly alternative to chemical insecticides, but it is not a 100% guarantee that all wasps will disappear.
  • If you are allergic to wasp stings, consult a doctor.
  • Wear gloves and goggles when handling the spray.

Additional tips:

  • To prevent wasps from entering your home, regularly check windows and doors for cracks that they can enter.
  • Remove food and water sources for wasps from the yard, such as trash cans, fruit trees, and open water.
  • Build wasp traps, for example, from sugar syrup or vinegar.

By keeping your home clean and tidy, you can greatly reduce the likelihood of wasps entering your home. And with this simple spray, you can quickly and safely get rid of those wasps that do appear.
